School remains open following recommendation by the Department of Justice Diablo Valley Campus, Pleasant Hill, California
Today, the Concord and Pleasant Hill Police Departments received two, unspecified bomb threats. After consultation with the Concord Police and Pleasant Hill Police Departments we have determined that extra patrol, high visibility presence is the most appropriate response at this time. We are following established procedures recommended by the Department of Justice.
We have received information that College Park High School is utilizing their phone tree to notify the parents of this threat.
Based on the recommendations of the surrounding police departments and the Department of Justice, the college has made the decision to stay open at this time. The college periodically receives bomb threats, especially during test periods. This is not out of the norm for educational institutions.
